Luke then speaks about how 2 Live Crew was hated on by other artists when they were at their prime. He explains how artists like Salt-N-Pepa and Kid 'n' Play were talking about how 2 Live Crew wasn't real Hip-Hop.
The group's status as outcasts in the industry led to a close friendship between Luke and Ice Cube, who went through the same things with NWA.
