DESCRIPTION:
Our Forefathers had a high regard for faith, so much so that they honored God in our founding documents and created the U.S. Army Chaplain Corps in 1775 to address the "spiritual and moral needs" of our military". In 1864 legislation was passed to allow the Secretary of the Treasury to include In God We Trust on U.S. currency to proclaim to the world that our Nation was still United and we would Trust God. In God We Trust became the official motto of the U.S. in 1956 and in 2016 my heartfelt prayer is that We Still Trust!
