Tim Garbutt

I've lived on a cliff top in the middle of nowhere "da Valley" as I've heard it called, till I was 18, then I had a car and got out, now I'm in Middlesbrough!

Not done anything of any recognised real significance, but intend to! I don't like to take anything too seriously, or at least I hide how serious I take everything. I'm kind of likable and some would say a bit random. I'm probably a genious, but I'm too lazy to find out. I've always dabbled in music (drums, penny whistle, harmonica, malodien), settled on guitar, but didn't really get into writing until I was 19/20. I had been traveling alone in America and Canada for months, and saw some fantastic live music. Travelled with a band, saw crazy wonderfull things, got inspired and started writing my own stuff properly! I've only started taking that a little more seriously just recently!



Generally I like Music, football, food, surfing, and art in that order. I like people as well. Just generally



Musically, well, I'm influenced mostly by Indie and Folk, with a little chill out. Don't know what I sound like, it's probably Indie Folk Rock. Not sure if thats a new musical clan? Think I'm still changing. I'm starting to do more performing and regularly check out folk sessions and do a little, though I think I'm a bit contemprary for that scene. I'm always looking for somewhere to play, so get in touch if you think I'd fit in!?



I don't like marmite, liars or cotton wool!
