Dedicated to Kevin Elliott 1985 -- 2009
"I SWEAR" (words and music: Tony Gibbs)
Vocals: Tim Buppert / Producer: Kim Copeland
The song "I SWEAR", inspired by true events at the funeral of Private Kevin Elliott in 2009, has been recorded by #1 Country artist TIM BUPPERT, and released as a download to raise funds for The Black Watch Association.
"I SWEAR" tells the story of how two soldiers made a pact that whoever outlived the other would wear a dress at his friend's funeral. Tragically, the death in Afghanistan of Kevin Elliott while on patrol resulted in the pact being kept at his funeral in Dundee, which was accorded full military honours by his battalion, The Black Watch.
