DESCRIPTION:
I don't think I've ever spent this long creating an arrangement. My longest before now was my Lapis Lazuli cover which took around a month. This one took nearly 2 months to complete! (Although I did have times when I wasn't practicing it all that much).

Anyways, I tried some new things with this arrangement. One technique I really like which Animenz makes use of in a lot of his covers is his use of polyphony. Not just having multiple melodies, but also making them rhythmically intricate when played together.

I've found I always struggled with this a lot, and the only way I could put it into my own arrangement was by writing out the parts and practicing it slowly until I could get it all together. I put this in for the very first verse of the song.

The chord progression leading into the chorus I found kind of strange, and I had a lot of trouble getting it to sound right. I couldn't really get the same feeling as in the original song, so I ended up taking a quieter approach for the lead into the first chorus, and for the second one I just ended up using a completely different chord progression.

My original plan was actually to finish this arrangement early and get a head start on this season of anime...but guess I've got some catching up to do.

I've found that writing out the sheets for my music as I'm creating the arrangement has been really beneficial towards the quality of it, but it's made the whole process a lot longer as I tend to put in things that take me much more practice to learn. When I just arrange in my head I tend to use more techniques which I can already play pretty much.

Hopefully I will improve in this and can start creating arrangements faster :D
