DESCRIPTION:
We had the honour of joining Afa and Aaron Dworkin from the US-based Sphinx Organization for their global symposium at Southbank Centre, London. Sphinx are dedicated to increasing the in diversity in orchestras and music organisations not for diversity's sake but in order for them to tap into the full potential of their communities' creativity.

The conversation will be continued at SphinxConnect 2017 Detroit, where Classical:NEXT's Jennifer Dautermann will hold a session together with Mark Pemberton (Association of British Orchestras) and Anselm Rose (Deutscher Orchestertag). Classical:NEXT 2017 (17-20 May 2017) will in return host Afa Dworkin from Sphinx and diversity will be one of the key conference topics.
