DESCRIPTION:
In April 2013, the merry poppins followed the invitation to perform at International Jazz Festival Almaty/Kazakhstan and at International Jazz Spring Bishkek/Kyrgyzstan. David Lageder, Thomas Aichinger, Mathias Vorauer, Robert Aichinger, and Herbert Könighofer toured the region for almost a month and did not only play numerous shows, but also encountered inspiring people, experienced the vastness of the steppe, enjoyed Central-Asian hospitality, met local artists and had a blast!

The band-members themselves were the ones who grabbed the cams and captured exciting, amusing and interesting moments of the trip. The tunes of the merry poppins as well as of Kyrgyz artist Gulzada make the soundtrack for this road movie.
