Thizzy Gillespie

STRICTNINE born Christopher Johnson July17, 1983 in Inglewood California. Parents moved the family to the Bay Area in which he was raised in San Jose California. With the influence of his step father and uncle China (China’s Cabinet) he fell in love with Rap at the age of 11. All through out Junior High and High School he rocked the crowds during talents shows in which he became pretty popular in school. Even though he was still under the legal age, at the age of 14yrs old he was already performing in various clubs throughout the Bay Area with is uncles.



By 18yrs old his Uncle had dropped there 1st group album titled: Big Gamezmen “Go’n Big Time” artist consist of Strict-9, China, Hawkeyez, Fat Duke, Guilty, Kunta, Jiggsaw, Shorty Loc, Midi & Nitty, Ice, Jeckel, and D Militant. Album sold well over 12,000 copies independently throughout the Bay Area. Between doing shows all over the Bay Area and school he created a good name for himself in which the streets respected.



In January of 2003, Strict and his uncle (China) decided to do one last group album together titled: PDR Superstars “Hard on the World” in which they did great in numbers selling over 15,000 copies independently.



Since then Strict has been on a mission and has completed reinventing himself as a well rounded Producer. He has done tracks with all the hottest up and coming artist through out the Bay Area to Kansas City, Mo such as: Mistah F.A.B., Messy Marv, Dem Hoodstars, San Quinn, Sean P formally from of the Platinum selling artist’s Young Bloods, Killa Keise, Jiggsaw, Cash Image & too many more to list!



Strict has hooked up with some friends and now the have a record label called “Money Hungry Productions” already dropping Jiggsaw’s album “We All Gon Eat”. Keep a look out for more music being produced by Strict-9. When you hear “Strict-9 on the beat” you know it’s the best!
