Thirsty Merc's new album came out with instant hit - the title track 'Mousetrap Heart' which was the #1 most played Australian song on national radio. Now, their new song "All My Life" has being chosen as the emotive theme music for the 2010 AFL Grand Final in September. It's a perfect time to go back on the road to perform their new material for thirsty fans with a comprehensive Australian tour this Oct/Nov. The national SPRING Tour sees them playing twenty-four dates across seven states and territories, kicking off in regional NSW and bringing new hits and known favourites to fans around the country. One of Australia's most loved bands, THIRSTY MERC, are back with yet another cracking hit-laden album. In MOUSTRAP HEART, their 3rd and most engaging studio album to date, the home grown four piece are beginning to reveal more and more of their startling level of musicianship and freakish talent.

Even the most hardened media agree: Thirsty Merc's live shows are at a first class level -- and they're backed up by a new studio album that is attracting rave reviews from even the harshest of critics. The band has sold over 200,000 albums, have been nominated for 4 x ARIA Awards (i.e. Australian Grammies) and were nominated for APRA's 2008 Song of The Year. Combine these credentials with an unparalleled depth of musical excellence and unescapable talent, and you're left with pure pop genius.

Thirsty Merc have delivered a diverse, world-class album and they are ready to share it with the world. Recorded in Los Angeles with super producer Matt Wallace [Faith No More, Maroon 5], MOUSETRAP HEART marks the return of Thirsty Merc following an extended break and reintroduces the band with a dynamic new sound. Once you venture into the MOUSETRAP HEART album, you'll realise exactly how much things have changed in the Thirsty Merc world. Everything is tighter, funkier, slightly harder edged. There's a conciseness and economy to the writing and performance that can only come with experience -- from playing hundreds and hundreds of shows.

With third studio album MOUSETRAP HEART, Thirsty Merc set out to reinvent themselves and they couldn't be more pleased by the results. "Yeah, it's a leap," Rai says. "It just feels like it's different in the best possible way. It's exciting!" MOUSETRAP HEART is Thirsty Merc's third studio album and, without question, the band's most accomplished yet.
