DESCRIPTION:
All of the Indian home media companies combine to produce the worst DVDs in the world, especially of the classic films. Some are very slightly better than others, but they're all a complete disgrace, a laughing stock. Perhaps the worst company of all is Friends. And it's too bad, because they often release films no one else has. But, one would think if they use as sources VHS tapes, they would at least buy some decent VCRs to use. But no.

Here's an example. I've already fixed the mess they made by using a 25fps source which was then converted to NTSC in the worst possible way. All the companies do that. And I suppose they can't be blamed for the tape they used having been made from a film in very poor condition. What they can be blamed for is defacing the movie with their godawful logo in the middle of the picture and the fact that the video is too dark (other scenes are much worse). And pay attention to the vertical lines - the sides of the picture frame, the window frame, and later the door frame. Can you notice how those vertical lines 'wobble'? It's very distracting, and it's caused by Friends using a poor quality VCR to capture the tape to digital. With a good prosumer VCR with a TBC, you wouldn't have that. That stuff is throughout most of the movie, maybe 18,000 times all told. I don't claim to have fixed all of it, but I did the best I could because this is an outstanding film and it deserves better than the treatment it got from Friends. And the song? They just don't come any better!
