Charley and Hattie grew up in Kent, England in a large family consisting of a banjo player, a comedian, a hairdresser, four drummers, a cake specialist at Fortnum and Mason, a concert pianist, and a tennis coach. Their childhood driving holidays were always heavy with a soundtrack and they spent many a late night car ride into London nightlife to collect their Dad and band mates from club circuit gigs.

The sisters began writing and playing music at an early age, learning instruments and singing in bands together. Charley took to the guitar, piano, sax, clarinet and drums and Hattie, the harp and piano.

They recorded an album of their songs in Nashville Tennessee, 'Piece of Mind', (released 2000) and travelled with Charley's guitar and Hattie's 22 string lap harp playing at gigs and parties.

After a couple of trips to Los Angeles the girls signed a Publishing Deal with Windswept Pacific Publishing and then a record deal with Universal Records in 2004. Heading back to London to make their second album 'Daylight Crossing' with producers Steve Lipson and Youth, they recorded with legendary musicians Steve Gadd and Pino Palladino at Abbey Road and Sarm Hook End Studios. 'Daylight Crossing' was featured on The Sharon Osbourne Show and on BBC Radio 2 as 'Record of the Week' and 'Album of the week' alongside Ray Lamontagne.

In 2007, the girls flying solo became independent artists once again.

The Webb Sisters and their band were chosen to represent the United Kingdom at America's 400th Anniversary in May 2007, performing alongside Chaka Khan and Bruce Hornsby.

Charley and Hattie then recorded a pro-peace song, 'Fortune of Soldiers', for a Judy Collins tribute record alongside Dolly Parton, Rufus Wainwright, Chrissy Hynde, and Shawn Colvin.

The album 'Born To The Breed' was released on Wildflower Records in 2008.

Charley and Hattie have toured and performed with Jamie Cullum, Rufus Wainwright, Jason Mraz, Cara Dillon, Katie Melua, Kubb and James Morrison.

The Webb Sisters were chosen to join Leonard Cohen on his world tour beginning in May 2008 in Fredericton Canada. Charley and Hattie's EP 'Comes In Twos' was released on itunes and sold at the Leonard Cohen shows in 2009 and second EP 'The Other Side' was released in January 2010 coinciding with a five gig tour in Los Angeles, Long Beach and San Francisco.

After Sting saw Charley and Hattie sing with Leonard Cohen in Los Angeles he invited the girls to sing on his album 'If On a Winter's Night.' which was released in October 2009.

In 2010 The Webb Sisters will be playing their own concert dates alongside touring with The Leonard Cohen Unified Heart Touring Co.
