MESA/Boogie Triple Crown TC-50 Modern Metal – John Browne & “Fruit of the Poisonous Tree” - Video
PUBLISHED:  Feb 07, 2017
DESCRIPTION:
The Triple Crown TC-50 performs exceptionally well for Modern Metal across its three channels and Mesa Artist John Browne was one of the first people outside of the Mesa R & D team to play the Triple Crown TC-50.

This playthrough of a song from John’s upcoming Flux Conduct solo project Yetzer Hara is called “Fruit of the Poisonous Tree” and the song and performance showcases the percussive attack, clarity and tightness from the Triple Crown in modern high gain applications.

John’s incredibly accurate and heavy down picking style extracts impressive amounts of gain, saturation and punch from Channel 3 for rhythm sounds – especially when you note of the fairly low Gain settings used on Channel 3 (lots more gain available). Channel 2 was used for the more vocal lead lines and single note tapping sections throughout the song.

Recorded with John’s Mayones Duvell 6 String guitar with Seymour Duncan P-Rail pickups into the Triple Crown TC-50 with a Rectifier Traditional 4x12 cabinet with Celestion Vintage 30 speakers. Mic’d with a Shure SM57 and Shure KSM 313. Mixed 50% SM57 and 50% KSM313.
