DESCRIPTION:
A new track written and recorded onSaturday August 20, 2016 by Mark Moldre and Michael Carpenter as The Supahip. This is track 10 of their long awaited second album, due late 2016. This video documents the actual recording of the track.

The Supahip pride themselves on instinctive creativity, and simplicity in the recording process. The day starts with no song written. The duo catch up for a while, then effortlessly ease in to the writing process. From there they start recording, keeping the layering and miking of instruments minimal. The lead vocal often goes down first (after a guide guitar) and are sung on one microphone in figure 8. The track is then carefully and purposefully layered, but only sticking to the essentials. A single ribbon mic on the drums, a bass track, rhythm guitar and a backwards lead guitar. Some shaker and tambourine, and the song is ready to mix.
