Terri Nunn - Ain't Nothin' But A Houseparty - Video
PUBLISHED:  Aug 04, 2011
DESCRIPTION:
Soul/Rock classic featuring Terri Nunn (Berlin), Greg Errico (Sly And The Family Stone), Lou Maxfield (Joan Jett, The Ravers), David Brooks Dennard (Gary Myrick And The Figures, The The Ravers).
Recorded in '82, this was to be a super-group, produced by Harold Bronson (co-founder Rhino Records). Things don't always go as planned, career opportunities were always looming nearby. Terri Nunn went on to join Berlin, Greg Errico was in demand for his exceptional drumming with Sly And The Family Stone. Lou Maxfield had co-written/played lead guitar for The Ravers (It's Gonna Be A Punk Rock Christmas, as well as guitar work on Joan Jett's Bad Reputation album). David Dennard was busy recording with Gary Myrick And The Figures, etc.

As you'll hear, Terri Nunn is a wonderful singer. Greg Errico is possibly the best Soul/Rock drummer ever! Lou Maxfield is an outstanding studio guitarist and David Brooks Dennard is a very solid driving bassist.
The track also features guest harmonies from wonderful Linda Lawley.
Andy Cahan was the featured pianist on the sessions, although Lou Maxfield (a/k/a Lou Naktin) is playing the Hammond on this track.

Enjoy!
