DESCRIPTION:
Fern was the quiet guy in the W. Albany St. Blues Band. Not that you'd know it by this clip. He and Stevie Rigo came as a package deal when they were hired in during the fall of 1983, and when the band's original guitar/keyboard team replaced them in the summer of 1984, Fern kinda stuck around, and eventually found his way back into the next and final line-up. And that original keyboard player got set behind the drums. After all, Fern was pretty f*ckin' good on keys.

This short is clipped off the WASBB's 1983 video demo. They got the 1st of their annual Devil's Triangle Tour gigs from this demo, and if you've read BLACK FLIES IN THE BACKYARD WITH SNOWSHOES, then you already know how much sh*t got unleashed as a result of those tours. I suppose you could request the official files under the Freedom of Information Act (see DEA/War on Drugs) but it's more fun (and a lot more accurate) if you check out the book (Chapter - Running With the Devils).
