Here "The Thinking Man's Guitar Hero" (The New Yorker) answers questions from the audience and moderator Scott Foundas of the Film Society of Lincoln Center directly after the US premiere of his Spanish "Dracula" project at the 48th New York Film Festival onstage at the Walter Reade Theater in Lincoln Center. Gary Lucas' US premiere of his original solo guitar score accompanying the legendary 1931 Spanish "Dracula" before a packed house in the closing weekend of the New York Film Festival was a resounding success with the audience as well as various critics in attendance:

Lucas performed the world premiere of his new score for the film at the La Rampa Cinema in downtown Havana at the Havana Film Festival on Dec. 11th 2009 and played the European premiere at the Transylvania International Film Festival on May 30th 2009 outdoors outside ancient crumbling Banffy Castle high in the Carpathian Mountains of Romania. He is next scheduled to perform the Spanish premiere of his new score on Nov. 8th 2010 at the Sevilla Film Festival and will perform the UK premiere of his new score closing the London Jazz Festival in association with BBC 3 at Queen Elizabeth Hall on Nov. 21st 2010.
