**I've made another video of surprising 20s jazz: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wczWtyoYc_I **
*Well, not really.
This is a collection of music that should have been hits but are rather obscure today. Very few of these recordings are on YouTube, though some of the artists are well-known, such as Clarence Williams, King Oliver, Duke Ellington, and Ethel Waters.

I called the video "top hits of the Twenties," but the recordings are almost all "black" jazz and Classic Female blues from the early-mid 1920s. "White" dance-music is not on this list. I do also like some artists who performed in that genre, but I find that it is already pretty well represented on Youtube.

I had plenty of trouble formulating this list and there's plenty of music that I sifted out of it only to save space. Many of these songs are actually better than anything on this list, but they're already fairly popular. A dream list of the "Top Hits of the 1920s' would have about 50 entries and much more Clarence Williams and Margaret Johnson.
List of recordings in order of appearance (which is completely arbitrary)
