UA’s Console application is the key to unlocking Apollo and Arrow's unique Realtime UAD Processing capabilities. It enables you to insert and control UAD plug-ins as well as route and monitor audio. This three-part video series takes you through Console 2.0 software and shows you how to get the most out of your UA Audio Interface.

In this tutorial, Gannon takes a closer look at the Console 2.0 sections. He starts off by showing you the three main types of inputs: analog, digital, and virtual, and then demonstrates their workflow. You’ll learn the difference between mic and line inputs, and also how to load Unison mic preamp emulations.

Realtime UAD processing is at the heart of UA Audio Interfaces. Gannon shows you how to take advantage of this by teaching you how to add UAD Plug-In inserts on your channels. Here, he also shows you had to tweak, edit, and save plug-in settings, so you can create your desired sound and retrieve it whenever you want. Learn how to record with realtime UAD processing, or simply hear the effects while you record a dry track with no processing into your DAW.

Next, Gannon covers aux sends and cues which allow you to adjust effects and send them to your desired headphone mix. Learn how to operate these on an individual basis or all at once as he demonstrates how to customize them. Also, understand the benefits of Flex Routing, which ultimately allows inputs to be routed to hardware outputs, headphone bus routing, as well as selectable pre/post Aux sends. Flex Routing not only speeds up workflow, it adds another level of flexibility for studio and live situations.

Finally, Gannon explains the easy access that you have to the control room monitoring controls, giving you complete flexibility when adjusting your outputs, and measuring your levels.
