DESCRIPTION:
Here's the brilliant Scots folk all rounder Bob n Along & The legendary London banjoist Mick O'connor giving us their exquisite performance of the Robert Burns song "Tibbie Dunbar" The song was made popular by the Dubliners.

Along with nine other songs, 'Tibbie Dunbar', was sent to the publisher, James Johnson on this day in 1789. The theme of a disapproving father, with, 'his lands and his money', features in several Burns poems. The penniless poet never forgot the withering contempt of Jean Armour's father who believed the father of her children to be beneath the daughter he had doted on. A Girvan fiddler, Johhny McGill, provided the tune, a lovely slow jig.

Kind Regards
