A Vast and Crowded Fire (LIVE) ... the Mutaytor HQ at the Big Time Out 2010 - Video
PUBLISHED:  Mar 30, 2014
DESCRIPTION:
In 2010 we were blessed to have Burning Man favorites the Mutaytor perform with their dancers and aerialists at the 2010 Big Time Out in Cumberland, BC. For this song the band brought about fifteen kids from the audience on stage to dance with them.

Much more of a performance troupe than a recording act — imagine the legendary Human Be-Ins and other assorted freak-outs of the Haight-Ashbury era rescored as performance art along the lines of Cirque du Soleil — the Mutaytor is a blend of audience participation, carnival sideshow, and improvisatory jam rock. Naturally, then, the Mutaytor has its roots in Nevada's Burning Man festival, where such self-consciously hippie-ish ideas don't receive nearly as much mockery as they would elsewhere.
