Marshall LEAD 100 MOSFET Model 3210 and 3 Gibson Les Pauls - Video
PUBLISHED:  Feb 29, 2016
DESCRIPTION:
Here is a 1985 solid state MOSFET amp from Marshall. Maybe one of the best kept secrets out there?! I've never experimented with the high gain settings, but I'm more than happy with the classic sound this amp puts out. The cab is a model 1936 stock 2x12. Also, I wanted to record the different Les Pauls to see what they sounded like when skipping thru the video. First up is an early 2008 Iced Tea; it's not the "2008" model with the pcb. All stock with the Burstbucker Pros(?). Next is a 1998 outfitted to look and act(!) a "burst". Throbak SLE-101s, CTS 500k audio taper pots, Vitamin T oil caps, vintage wiring, Faber Aluminum bridge, ABR-1 bridge with screwed in post (dowel into the body), and other stuff like knob pointers, aged switch tip, vintage style tall pickup covers, blank truss rod cover, and Kluson green tuners. Lastly, a 2008 R8 plaintop VOS reissue, stock (Burstbucker 1 and 2?) with 10s. Oh yeah, 9s on the first 2. I believe I had the tone pot turned down on both the 2008s at the start (way down to 3 on the R8), then opened them up later...and back down again on the R8 around 11:45 or so.
Amp settings, from left to right: Master Volume 2, Reverb 3, Bass 7, Middle 4, Treble 4, Volume 10, Tone 4, Volume 4, Gain - pulled out and set to10.
