Se llama "Have You Heard About the World?"

Michael Chandler, front man for New York City's legendary Raunch Hands, has been rewriting '50s, '60s, and '70s R&B, soul and gospel music for a quarter of a century. In late 2006, he told pal Buffi Agüero, singer and rhythm guitarist of Atlanta's Tiger! Tiger! and drummer for the Sub Sonics, of a long-standing dream to record a truly inspirational LP, in the traditional gospel style. She suggested that they start immediately, and Chandler took this as his motivational vote of confidence to see the project through. He enlisted the enviable rhythm section of Brian McBride (Visitors, Electric Shadows) on bass and as a songwriting collaborator, and Joey Valentine (Coydogs, Star Spangles) on drums. Buffi, commuting to rehearsals from Atlanta, introduced the band to Johnny Vignault, a "tasty licks" lead guitarist with a Southern soul style. Through -- of all places -- Craigslist, the new unit found the jaw-dropping keyboard player, Jerome Jackson, organist for the Kelly Temple Church of God in Christ, in Harlem. This comprised the heart of the Lost Crusaders.

Chandler asked a number of very talented musical cohorts to participate in the recording, and thus was joined by Keith Streng (Fleshtones) on additional lead guitar, Laura Cantrell, lead vocal on two country numbers, Jon Spencer (Heavy Trash, Blues Explosion), additional lead vocal and rhythm guitar, Steve Greenfield (Fleshtones, Roller Kings), indispensable on alto and baritone sax sections, Matt Verta Ray (Heavy Trash, Speedball Baby) on lap steel guitar, Mike Edison (Raunch Hands, Edison Rocket Train), slide guitar, and a host of other gifted musicians. Produced by Dean Rispler, whose other projects include Little Killers, Shemps, Bamboo Kids, at this weighty combo completed 14 memorable tracks in five studio days. Their album is entitled, "Have You Heard About the World?"
