The Legendary JCs slayed a mess of funk, soul and R&B at Martin's, 9.1.12 - Video

DESCRIPTION:
Orlando, Fla.-area band The Legendary JCs were not on my radar before they hit Martin's on Saturday. The band is very, very high on my radar now. In other words, I wish they were the house band for my life.

Great grooves, killer vocals from singer/percussionist Eugene "Sidney P" Snowden [now also known as "Rack Tom", for his distinctive tambourine abilities, and murderous lead instrumental work from guitarist Michael "The Polish Claw" Lashinsky and trombonist Clay "BBQ" Watson.

As you'll see if you watch this, I discovered the zoom tool on my new phone, and that's not fully happening yet, but it does allow me to stand back farther from the band, so as not to blow out the microphone. I shot one original but was too close, hence I'm not posting it.

Here, the band covers Bill Withers' "For My Friend." You can hear what it's all about here.
