The Lady Throat Killer’s strengths lie in their individuality within the Australian music industry. A Hip Hop crew through and through, TLTK touch on sounds from jazz to reggae, rock and world roots whilst producing a sound, fresh and new to the Hip Hop genre.
The Lady Throat Killers’ crew consists of MC/producer Quiz and MC Ambush. Quiz and Ambush first collaborated musically within Rap/Funk live crew ‘In2nation’ .

TLTK started making moves in 2008, organising local hip hop gigs and bringing outside artists to the sunshine coast, as well as consolidating a burgeoning local scene. TLTK also independently released their EP ‘Beerocracy’ and started receiving airplay on Brisbane’s 4zzz, Noosa Community Radio and South Korea’s number 1 hip hop station – 4bRadio

In 2009 The Lady Throat Killers started gigging heavily throughout south east Queensland and their epic live show saw them invited back time and time again to play Brisbane’s ‘City Cyphaz’ and the Sunshine Coast’s ‘Drop the Junk’ festivals.

In late 09, Ambush travelled throughout Latin America gaining inspiration for lyrics to add to the beats Quiz was working on at home, fast forward to mid 2010 and The Lady Throat Killers are set to release their debut album ‘A Broken Pearl Necklace’. “This album is designed to give the listener an inside view to our lives, we spit the truth!” says MC Ambush. A Broken Pearl Necklace graces topics such as political refugees, the evil of television, life on the coast, party anthems and as the title suggests, luck with the ladies…

Ambush and Quiz have shared the stage with Mental as Anything, True Live, The Black Seeds (NZ), The Apostles (US), TZU, The Resin Dogs and Cornerstone Roots (NZ) to name a few.
