The Kucruts adalah band New Wave/Dance Rock yang terbentuk di Jakarta, Indonesia, pada tahun 2006.
The Kucruts terdiri dari :
- Heri Purnomo (Omo) - Lead Vocal, Synth
- Ika Febry Suana(Totunk) - Gitar, Backing Vocal
- Nicolas Josef (Nicol) - Drum, Backing Vocal
- Arip Pirosa (Arip) - Bass, Backing Vocal
Sejarah Terbentuknya The Kucruts:
Pada awal Tahun 2006, Heri Purnomo (Omo) berniat untuk membentuk sebuah grup band.
Bersama dengan teman teman yang tinggal di dekat rumahnya, mereka mulai menyewa
studio dan berlatih. Setelah itu Omo mengajak adik kelasnya sewaktu SMU yaitu
Nicolas Josef (Nicol) untuk bermain drum, sehingga terbentuklah The Kucruts dengan
formasi awal :
Heri Purnomo (Omo) - Lead vocal
Ika Febry Suana (Totunk) - Gitar
Aditya Wisnu (Awe) - Bass, dan
Nicolas Josef (Nicol) - Drum.
Mereka ahirnya sepakat untuk memainkan musik bergenre New Wave. Untuk menambahkan suasana New Wave akhirnya Omo memutuskan untuk bermain keyboard.
Nama The Kucruts sendiri berawal dari banyaknya orang yang meragukan dan tidak percaya bahwa Omo dan teman temannya bisa membentuk sebuah grup band. Sehingga Tercetuslah nama The Kucruts yang berasal dari kata Kucruts dimana mereka sering dipanggil demikian, yang berarti kacau, kecil, payah, dsb. Pertengahan Tahun 2006 Kintha Karlita bergabung untuk mengisi kekosongan di posisi
Backing Vocal, tetapi tidak lama kemudian Aditya Wisnu (Awe) terpaksa harus melanjutkan
kuliahnya diluar kota, sehingga digantikan oleh Arip Pirosa (Arip), dan tak lama Kintha pun harus berkonsentrasi untuk ujian akhirnya.
Pada akhir 2007 sampai dengan pertengahan 2009 Omo menerima tawaran bermain sinetron
sehingga The Kucruts menjadi jarang terlihat di acara acara musik seperti tahun sebelumnya
karna padatnya jadwal Omo.
Sekarang The Kucruts telah kembali dengan single terbarunya "Ternyata Cinta Tak selamanya Indah"
dan beberapa lagu yang di-retake (di rekam kembali) dan sedang mempersiapkan album perdana mereka.

History of The Kucruts:
In early 2006, Heri Purnomo (Omo) intends to make a band.
Together with his friends who lives near his house, they began to rent a studio and practice.
After that Omo asked his senior high school friend, Nicolas Josef (Nicol) to play drums, forming The Kucruts with initial formation:
Heri Purnomo (Omo) - Lead vocals
Ika Febry Suana (Totunk) - Guitar
Aditya Wisnu (Awe) - Bass, and
Nicolas Josef (Nicol) - Drums.
They finally agreed to play New Wave music. To add a New Wave atmosphere Omo finally decided to play the keyboard.
The Name, The Kucruts itself begins from there was many people doubted that Omo and his friends could make a band. So that they named The Kucruts, came from the word Kucruts where they are often called upon as, which means messy, fucked up, chaos, little, sucks, etc.
Mid-Year 2006 Kintha Karlita join the band to fill the position of Backing vocals, but was soon Aditya Wisnu (Awe) had to continue his college outside the city, and he was replaced by Arip Pirosa (Arip), and after that Kintha must concentrate for her final exam.
At the end of 2007 to mid 2009 Omo himself accept an offer to play on a local TV show so The Kucruts was rarely seen in musical events such as the previous year because of Omo's tight schedule.
The Kucruts has now returned with their new single "Ternyata Cinta Tak Selamanya Indah" (Love wasn't always beautiful) and some songs that they already retake, and preparing for their debut album.
