DESCRIPTION:
I had almost forgotten this song but it was called out as a selection at a dulcimer gathering I was at Monday. The leader gave a history of the song and it sent me inspired to my home studio to do an arrangement of it. I put together a multilayered folk arrangement and placed the beautiful lyrics among old scenes of mill workers throughout the past.

Aragon Mill is a song that speaks of the sadness and economic devastation that occurs in a mill town when the mill closes. Written by Si Khan in 1974, it is about a real town in Georgia that was built around the Aragon Mill and how it was affected when the mill went out of business. The song is timeless for there are thousands of "Aragons" all over the world in rural landscapes.
