"Canada's truest contribution to the alt-country genre" - Exclaim!
With clever song structures, crisp vocal harmonies and a healthy dose of twang, the Jimmyriggers deliver a potent mix of sounds that will appeal to rock and roots fans alike.
The Jimmyriggers are built around the songwriting talents of bass player David Pearce and guitarist Andre Kirchhoff, anchored by the solid back-beat of drummer R.D. Harris, and the colour of maverick guitar slinger Kevin Moquin. It is their trademark two-part harmonies
that truly lend the band its unique sound, with Pearce's clenched fist-in-velvet glove vulnerability dovetailing with Kirchhoff's more honey-dipped tones.
Veterans of Montreal's roots-rock scene, the Jimmyriggers have appeared at numerous local events including the Fringe Festival, the Montreal Folk Festival on the Canal, and BOBFEST, a Bob Dylan 70th Birthday Tribute.
Recently the band won the CHOM-FM Rock N Bull Rodeo Video contest, earning the opportunity to open for legendary American rock band CCR at Stade Uniprix in June 2011. In August they appeared at the Fête de St-
Lambert opening for renowned Quebecois artist Michel Pagliaro.
Not to be confined to Quebec alone, the Jimmyriggers have also taken their music on the road, with successful
tours of Ontario and the Maritimes, and appearances at Canadian Music Week.
