Be there on March 16th 2013 at the Gebaeude 9.The name „Freedom Sounds" ultimately alludes to the Jamaican liberation movement in the 1960s, a source of inspiration for the first generation of Ska musicians around The Skatalites. „Freedom Sounds" was written by J. The lyrics:

Freedom Sounds (words & music: J. Uerschels)

Intro
Talking about the Freedom Sounds

Verse
We know that chains were made to be broken
We know that fists got to be raised
We know the truth will have to be spoken
'Til they listen to what we say, hey, hey

Chorus
Come on let's make some Freedom Sounds
The sweetest sounds around
We gonna dance all over town
To the Freedom Sounds

Verse
Don't be surprised if we tear down a wall
Coz we like the sound of barriers falling
Not giving up, always standing tall
'Til there is liberty for all, all, all.

Chorus x 2

Now is the right time to celebrate
Let's all go out on a liberty date
We'll be together from early 'til late
Letting our love conquer hate, conquer hate

Chorus x 2 1/2
