DESCRIPTION:
Johannesburg born, Doncaster raised singer-guitarist-producer Skinny Pelembe, signed to Gilles Peterson’s Brownswood Recordings. He joined us at Metropolis Studios to perform two tracks from his Sleep More, Make More Friends EP, released last week. We asked him about his influences to which he replied: “If in some parallel universe, Neil Young and Madlib had shacked up together and decided to have a test tube baby who in turn played loads of Mogwai and Grateful Dead, then I'd like to think I would be that baby”.
