The Harry Macintosh Project was an experimental alternative rock band. They formed in early 2005. The band boasts a diverse array of influences (see influences) which can undeniably be spotted in their music occasionally. They have been described as 'Camp Math-Core', 'Spazz-Core', 'New Wave Post-Hardcore' & 'Nu-Jazz' Although the band are indifferent to labelling and welcome peoples expressions and descriptions of their music. The complete end result however, is always unmistakably The Harry Macintosh Project.
Having spent much of their first year of existence writing and perfecting a set of original material. The band started gigging in late 2005 in much of the bars and clubs in and around Berkshire and continued this pattern throughout 2006 building up a strong local following and a reputation for having high energy and vastly entertaining live shows.
Around Autumn 2006, the band recorded and released their debut EP entitled 'Macrophage' to warm and positive praise within the local scene. The EP was recorded with reputable musician and producer Joe Lawrence (Statues, The Benefit, South Finnesse).
The Harry Macintosh Project continued to spread their wings and play shows throughout the UK in 2007 & 2008. They started work on their second EP 'The Craneofacial Blues' but unfortunately disbanded before it's completion in 2010.
The Harry Macintosh Project played their final ever show at The Avenue, Newbury in support of Star Fucking Hipsters on July 31st 2010.
