DESCRIPTION:
The Grates are an alternative indie rock band from Brisbane, Australia. They are well known for their energy and enthusiasm in live shows, which often sell out.

Their single 'Trampoline" was played on radio station Triple J. The Grates have been nominated for many music awards, including 2006 Australian Music Prize for 'Best Contemporary Music Album,' three ARIA awards and a 2008 Triple J J Award nomination. 'Science Is Golden' came at Number 52 in the charts in Australia in 2006.

The band consists of Patience Hodgson on vocals, John Patterson on guitar and Alana Skyring on drums.

Originally recorded live and aired as part of the Fearless Music Show in New York City and recently acquired by One Media.
