The NEW E.P 'Social Not Working' OUT NOW!!!!



The Girobabies were born over a pint and game of pool at King Tuts after both founding members had been sacked by the same company on the same day. A few weeks later another friend from work got sacked and he joined the band on Bass. Songs were written prolifically and recorded on a Singstar mic and uploaded online which were met with varying reactions of joy, Disgust and confusion.
A French drummer was brought in and the live shows began with a sold out gig at Ivory Blacks in December 23rd 2008 supporting Madskull with Glasvegas in the crowd.
The gigs came thick and fast with almost every venue in Glasgow being played with 90% being very well received and 10% completely shambolic
The first CD was called 'The Broken Homes Sessions' and was given away for free at a sold out Pivo Pivo gig in March 2009 and the last 50 were given away at T in the Park months later with no artwork anything for that matter written on the discs
As well as the many Glasgow gigs the band also headlined the Mayday! Mayday! festival in Kilmarnock, A sold out show in Irvine HAC and took a full coachload to Twa Tams in Perth
by the time 2010 arrived the band started recording their first proper Mini-album called 'Social Not Working' and welcomed a new drummer and a 2nd guitarist to the fold
Since then the band have played many festivals such as Rock the Boat, Equinox, Summer Soltice, Rockfest and Live at Troon as well as supporting the likes of Chris Helme (The Seahorses), Adam Fikec (Babyshambles), Jinx Lennon, Hugh Reed & The Velvet Underpants and will launch their new album 'Bus Stop Apocalypse' on June 25th with Mark Morriss from The Bluetones
