DESCRIPTION:
Disco Jesus and The Doom Patrol was a fictional band that was created by Joel Wasson as the main character- lead singer Disco Jesus. Disco Jesus was a con artist/ musician that preached the return of disco music in the late 1980's. The band consisted of Joel Wasson as Disco Jesus the singer, Soriya Rashid as Big Momma Madusa, Crocky Teasdale as Dexter the Cat and Bernard Maizza as Dr. Doom actually played shows in the Toronto alternative scene with two shows in Montreal in 1988 to1990. This ten minute short film was created by Joel as part of his final year of film school at York U. Joel handle all parts of production and post production with a cast of friends playing the other parts. It tells of the fictional rise and fall of Disco Jesus and the Doom Patrol and a mock much music type interview to boot. This is part one of two
