Teamed up at the end of 2003 with large part of the Receipt's line up (Another hardcore band featuring current members of To Kill and The Fourth Sin) THE DIFFERENCE was an hardcore band from Rome, Italy. Some of their members already played (or are currently playing) with other great local bands: Strength Approach, Receipt, Face The Fact, To Kill. Since the beginning the band worked to build a solid project based on friendship and dedication, focusing the lyrics most of all on social issues. The sound was fast straightforward modern old school hardcore with balanced melodies. The first work was a self produced cdep called "Times We Share" which includes 4 songs and it's no more available. The first and last full length album called "Speakers And Followers" containing 12 tracks was released on December 2005 by Countdown Records. The first press is gone in a while and for this great positive reaction it was released again with a brand new artwork still on Countdown for Europe and through a cool digipack version on canadian Lower Left Records for North America. For the same reason Valium Records and Dancing With Myself Editions decided to press "Speakers And Followers" on coloured LP. According to the continuous desire of playing live acts THE DIFFERENCE made lots of gigs and some tours around with really good and well known bands (Shelter, Give Up The Ghost, Youth Of Today. ) and with other great bands of friends (The Miracle, Values Intact, Alone, Ingegno. ). At the end of 2009 the band decides to call it quit, all the times shared will be remembered forever.
