from the ashes of Rancho Deluxe, Jim Jeffries has developed a new band which will expand on the darker sides of his rockabilly, country-blues, punk, gothic-hillbilly and rock n roll influences. Jim has also been really busy throughout 2007 working with supreme psychobilly vocalist Mark Cole in Mad Dog Cole.

Jim has previously had the experience of working in The Caravans and has also backed Levi Dexter and Mark Lee Allen also in 2006 Jim was in Dead Kings

The Dark Angels also features the legendary Smutty Smith - of 13 Cats, Rockats & Havalinas fame, and new member Mark Richards on drums and backing vocals. Mark also has a great history, having played for Get Smart, Caravans, Rancho Deluxe, Tennessee Rhythm Riders etc The band will be in the studio again and on the road very soon, but in the meantime, some samples from Jim's repertoire have been posted.



Also a change has happened again in The Dark Angels since the band started we have decided to go for a more dark rockabilly based style again, as whilst Smutty was in USA, Jim, Ruby Bones, Mark Richards and Choppy created a new band - Whip Crackin' Daddies - see Top 8. The Dark Angels spent most of the last year working on music with diverse styles from Jim's varied interests, but that project became something so far away from what was initially planned and with involvement from other musicians, so we decided to separate the projects. album is very nearly ready have a look on here for details of Jim Jeffries & The Wretched Souls



Smutty is out of the UK again for a while, but as soon as he gets back we will finish off the Dark Angels album!
