BONSAI KITTEN BIOGRAPHY:
The singer Tiger Lilly Marleen from Berlin formed and evolved the band BONSAI KITTEN in Japan in 2005. Back in Berlin, Bonsai Kitten released their self entitled debut-EP in February of 2007 on the label „On The Hill" for the Japanese market only. In spite of no european distribution their debut EP sold out pretty quickly and Bonsai Kitten drew a lot of attention upon their existence. Along their way, Bonsai Kitten played many festivals, shows and opened for The BossHoss, Dick Dale, The Bones, Mad Sin, The Accidents, King Kurt and many more.
In February 2011 Bonsai Kitten released their highly awaited first fulllength album "Done With Hell" on the German record label "Wolverine Records". The album earned great critical acclaim across the globe. The titletrack is a collaboration with Köfte DeVille from Mad Sin on guest vocals. The limited edition of the coloured thick vinyl was released in late 2011.
To maintain the tradition of releasing new music in the month of February, Bonsai Kitten put out their snotty sophomore album „Welcome To My World" on the 24th of February 2012. Here, icons of the psychobilly scene, such as Hank Ray, Mark „Mad Dog" Cole, Danny B. Harvey and Tex Morton have joined forces with Bonsai Kitten. The limited edition of a coloured split vinyl with the Graveyard Johnnys will be released later this year on "Wolverine Records".
Bonsai Kitten call their unique musicstyle „killbilly" and live up to the name. All songs are performed with heavy speed and full body action. Tiger Lilly Marleen, Krczycz, Alexx DeLarge and Highko Strom are bursting at the seams with explosive energy.
