Confederats History--------

I started The Confederats back in San Diego in '96'. The oringinal line up included Matt -singing, Toddamit- drums, Dave- bass and me (Darin) on guitar. We picked up a 2nd guitarist (Gina).(yes a girl) along the way.Our first recording was in '98' at 9th Ring Studio's, called "destroy all humans" ,which we only put out on tapes. You kids remember cassette tapes don't you? Matt and Gina had to leave awhile after that, and we picked up Grant - singer ,and Cameron- drummer. Toddamit was now on 2nd guitar .We then recorded The Rats " It's War " cd. JD ,from Industrial Strength Records picked us up and we were the 1st band to be signed on his label. Dave dropped out of the band , and our friend Lenny from Inciting Riots started playing bass. We started touring the states ,and Toddamit and Grant moved to San Francisco to help JD run the label. I moved to oregon and needless to say , were stetched a little thin. We could tour, but we weren't make any progress. things were falling apart for us so i reformed the band up in oregon. with BT now on drums and the Grizzler on bass, we started playing as a 3 piece. Toddamit and Grant joined us for one more tour. As a 3 piece, we recorded the "I'd Kill For A Beer " cd. We soon met our current drummer Sodak, and BT came up to sing. the last 3 tracks of "I'd Kill For A Beer" were recorded as a 4 piece. this cd was ok , but it wasn't worth making a whole shit load of copies so we hooked up with Piggyback Records and recorded "Runnin' From The Cops" . After a few tours , we met our current bassist Scott ,aka(monkey boy) and The Grizzler moved to 2nd guitar. Recently, the Grizzler had to leave the band and we've now added Chris to the long line of fine young men (and women) that have played for the Rats.
