About Us

The Channel is a 501c3 non profit organization which has become the premier all ages music venue in the Upstate. Located in the heart of downtown on North Main Street, we're about providing a high-energy, family-friendly venue for the community's artists and audiences. Featuring local, regional and national acts in an intimate setting, The Channel draws crowds from across the state. We now have a restaurant, Grille 33 located inside The Channel, where you will also find an acoustic stage. On the second floor the main stage hosts talented musicians from every genre.

Grille 33 @ The Channel is more than just a burger joint! Serving Certified Black Angus Beef burgers we've been called the best burgers in the Upstate and were recently voted People's Choice Award at Fall for Greenville. Each burger is named after a street in the downtown district. Some brave souls try the Stone Burger, which is an Angus patty stuffed with American cheese housed inside a grilled glazed doughnut…sounds bizarre, but EVERYONE loves it! For the healthier eaters, you’ll find phenomenal salads and black-bean burgers. Grille 33 also sports a 150” TV screen to watch your favorite team. And don’t forget the delicious sweet potato fries and a waffle for dessert!

Moose & Mug @ The Channel is located inside The Channel and hosts a funky J shaped coffee bar and a private Lounge area with free WiFi, which is available for private groups. You’ll find your favorite coffee drinks and some unique specialties, such as The White Chocolate Symphony & The Mocha Java Nut. Come relax and enjoy. Coffee bar opens at 7:30 am.

History:

The Channel was founded in 1997 as Carpenter’s Cellar Ministries underground on South Main Street. In 2007 a transition took place from an 1,100 square-foot coffee house to a 4,000 square-foot music venue, which regularly accommodated 250 people a night. Another transition took place in June this year to bring The Channel back on Main Street
