DESCRIPTION:
Today I wanted to talk a little bit about some things we’re doing to market us a bit better. If you’re a musician or band that’s thinking of ways to market his band better we’re about to experiment with some merch.

We wanted to make t-shirts to sell at shows, as well as have some more CDs to sell but we didn’t want to print more of our Back Home to Blue CD because we have new members in the band that aren’t on that CD.

So what we did was we created a CD that will be only available at shows that includes our single Perfect Pocket as the A side and Dispute as the B side.

Additionally, because we thought 2 songs was a bit little for people we also included our alternative remix of Perfect Pocket as well as our Potluck Sessions EP Liz and I did at the Potluck Audio Conference last year. So that means for whoever comes to our shows we’ll have our exclusive concert only CD for you to go home with!

Additionally, we created a t-shirt contest at 99 Designs and received over 170 different designs from designers all around the world. It was difficult to pick the winning design but in the end some of you helped us vote for your favorite and we went with this one.

It actually works really well for us because we can use the design as a logo on other merchandise such as posters, profile pictures and even our brand new Youtube channel art I did yesterday.

A big shout out too Tanline Printing(www.tanlineprinting.com), which is a local print shop in Tucson for helping us out! They’re really affordable, fast and easy to work with. We just got the proof today so we’re looking forward to showing this off at our merch table at shows!

Finally, we’re going into the studio this weekend to record some drums and bass for our debut album. If you remember we were thinking about doing an EP but since we had enough songs we wanted to be a real grown up band with an actual album!
