DESCRIPTION: Jack auditioned for Sam Phillips in 1955 but was rejected and told to come back when he had another band. Sam may not have liked the band, but he loved Jacks voice. Jack sat up one night in his Buick Roadmaster and wrote a song called 'Slow Down' The song was cut at Sun in 1956 along with Bill Black on bass, Danny Walquist on drums and Warren Gregory on guitar. A true sun rockabilly classic that stands the test of time. It may have been Jacks sole release on the label but any rockabilly fan will tell you that the song is in their top ten favouites of all time.
