Mr. Chris Black is a renowned musician and Entrepreneur whose musical intelligence was tapped at a young age. At the age of nine, the bass guitar became his pavement of expression. As his musical skills blossomed, Chris started exemplifying his talent abroad. Cleverly molded, his gift is appreciated by all nationalities, races and cultural backgrounds.

Throughout Mr. Blacks career he has proven his versatility by mastering many styles of music. Such a capability has contributed to the working relationships established with such respected artists as Les McCann, Glen Lewis Bobby Lyle, Phil Perry, Najee, The Ojays, Patti Labelle, Shirley Caesar, Beyonce, Kelly Rowland, Michelle Williams, Angie Stone, Gary Oliver, Israel Houghton, Kim Burrell, Karen Clark, Kelly Price, Howard Hewitt, Daryl Coley, David Peaston, Regina Belle, Alyson Williams, Juvenile, The Hot Boys, Little Wayne, as well as the distinguished international evangelist Bishop T. D. Jakes and is currently the assistant music director for Regina Belle. Hedging his way into the visual medium of entertainment, Chris has worked with gifted actresses, such as Charnelle Brown (Kim of A Different World), Sheryl Lee Ralph (Dee of Moesha), Malik Yoba, as well as recorded on the movie soundtrack for Blue Streak. Mr. Black has worked with a host of other talented artists, actors, and musicians in his travels around the world. Chris Black currently endorses and is the Artist Staff Director for G.C. Basses& Design, Ltd., home of some of the greatest handcrafted Basses in the world (formerly The Masters Bass Company). Chris current projects include: an inter-active instructional DVD, Black Pearl Music Productions (Mr. Blacks own Production Company), and many others. Chris Black is fast becoming a known producer, songwriter, and music director. His production credits include: Eneazer Moore, David Walker, Leona Daniels, Cephas Riggins, Genesis & Grace, In the Fathers House, Sheryl Washington, John McConnell and many others.

Throughout his travels Mr. Black experienced a diversity of cultures as well as gained an abundance of knowledge and insight that sowed into his dream. This dream was to bring together an array of diverse artistic programs that will expose a multitude of people to the vast sundry for the arts.

In the fall of 1998, Chris Black took his dream to another level by founding CBA (Creating a Better America) School of Arts. The goal of CBA is to take Mr. Blacks knowledge & experience to broaden the horizons of people of all ages. Chris Black hopes to leave a legacy of inspiration that empowers millions to explore the deeper alcove of their minds through fine arts.
