Biography
Kakawww! Remember what happens when you used to pour pop rocks in soda? WHAT? WOH! We're pop rocks, and our soda is the ever-flowing carbonation of energy, style, and stimulation we bring whenever we hit the stage. It's what everybody spends all week working their asses off for – letting loose in the moment and relishing the vibrations rumbling through their veins. Simply put, we fuse infectious funk rock jams with tongue twisting rhymes and soul melting melodies. But come on, words weren't invented to describe music - music was invented to describe music.
While Studying at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas, "machine gun" lyricist Multi-ID spent many a sleepless night in his basement experimenting with eclectic beats and rhymes. As he began to develop a vision for his new found sonic indulgences, He realized it would require enlisting the most unique and talented ensemble within his grasp. First he hooked up with bassist Phil, who had 14 years of classical study under his belt. Next they pulled guitarist Ted Lauck from an already popular band on campus. With "music is life" tattooed on his arm and multiple instruments under his command, aspiring concert pianist DJ PAC fit the job description for a keyboardist/turn-tablist/sampler like a glove. Next they literally plucked drummer Dustin Boersch out of high school, who had been recommended as one of the area's best since the ripe old age of 14. With the musical foundation in place, the finishing touch of soothing R&B vocals was boldly filled by J Sabin, an experienced writer/producer/engineer of gospel, pop, R&B, hip-hop, and country. As all talents combined, Big Red Rooster was born, a group fitting together like birds of a feather. The Writing's on the wall (or on this bio, no pun intended).

-Opening act for Three 6 Mafia, LMFAO, Shwayze, Pitbull Ying Yang Twins, Bone Thugs 'n Harmony, Fat Joe, and De la Soul among many other national acts.
-Headlined two Western U.S. Tours, with stops in Phoenix, Tucson, Huntington Beach, Los Angeles, Santa Barbara, Denver, Vail, Colorado Springs, and Kansas City.
-Received Airplay across 5 markets on Top 40 and Rhythmic Stations
-5 songs recorded with two-time Grammy winning producers Play-N-Skillz
-Featured artist work with Talib Kweli, E-40, & Slim Thug

-Consistent performances in Dallas, Ft. Worth, Austin, Houston, San Marcos, Lubbock, San Angelo, and Tulsa.
-Performed at premium venues House of Blues Sunset Blvd, Viper Room, Austin Music Hall (Austin) and Voodoo Lounge at Harrah's Casino (Kansas City).
