My Treasure - The Aquatones - 6-2-02 rehearsal - Video
PUBLISHED:  Aug 12, 2013
DESCRIPTION:
This was a "mixed group" of Aquatones - Larry Vannata (original Aquatones) was visiting so we had a rehearsal, but Rich (current tenor) couldn't make it. So Larry sang the tenor parts he'd sung in the old days! (Along with Colette, Paul, and Dave.) This is the first time that Colette had to sing the "high parts" in "My Treasure" along with the rest of the lead - the way Lou Fargo had MADE Lynne Nixon do it on the original record. (I'd written the song in April 1958 with the high part meant to be a "descant" in the background, and we did it that way for our 2001 recording of the song - with the "high part" added on a separate track.) Remember - this video was made 11 years ago, right after our appearance on the PBS-TV show, "Red, White and Rock," so we still had to use sheet music for many of our songs. (And we were all 11 years younger!) Sorry for the "non-professional setting" for this video, but a "fan" asked for this song and here it is, the ONLY video we have of us singing it.
