They've been held under the buckle of the Bible-belt for too long, and now, The Adrenals are ready to hit the scene. This high energy, fast paced trio is like a shot of adrenaline to the heart. They keep it short, fast, and true to old-school punk. Since they jumped on the scene in November 2003, opening for Epitaph band, Matchbook Romance, they've continued to spread the word of true punk, playing with such legendary bands as The Independents, The Groovie Ghoulies, and the band featured in the motion picture, SLC Punk, Eight Bucks Experiment.
If Blondie and Billy Idol had a really pissed off baby, it would be like "Baby" B Stiletto. Her sharp, fierce vocals, are matched by her attack on the bass. She leads you in with innocent eyes, rips you to shreds, and leaves you wanting more. Jake Adrenal's "who-the-hell-needs-a-solo?" guitar-style, is fast and driven. He pumps it out, keeping the pit moving, and everybody rocking. Metal Mike is so solid on his drums, and has such a distinct style, one might confuse him for a Ramone.
It's obvious to see that bands such as The Ramones and The Misfits had a great influence on The Adrenals, and they use that to their advantage. They constantly push the envelope, playing songs harder and faster, cranking out new songs, and putting new spins on old favorites. Who knew that anyone could do a punk cover of Huey Louis and The News' "The Power of Love"? Their new album, Lumine Fever, captures all of the spirit of The Adrenals, but, in order to really feel all their energy, catch them live. Get on the floor, and feel the rush!
