"A Tribute to Gene Clark of The Byrds," a very special fundraising concert on the Carnegie Stage of the South Pasadena Library Community Room on Saturday night, February 25, 2017, celebrated the 50th anniversary of the late singer-songwriter's musical career.

The event featured live performances by Gene's son Kai T. Clark and his band, Carla Olson, former Clark collaborator and duet partner; John York, former member of The Byrds, the Sir Douglas Quintet and the Mamas & Papas touring band; and Peter Lewis, guitarist from Moby Grape.

Proceeds from the event, which attracted a full room of about 125 true Clark fans, benefitted the Friends of the South Pasadena Public Library and the South Pasadena Arts Council.

This clip is the all-star finale, Clark's Byrds classics "I'd Feel a Whole Lot Better" (minus the first few seconds, sorry, and with Tom Slocum in red jacket joining in on vocals) and "Eight Miles High."

Special thanks to Kai T. Clark, who's not just carrying on his dad's legacy with grace and style, but also finding his own voice.
