David Odisho a.k.a. “David Slapps” a.k.a. "Mr. Slapp", A Music Producer, Not a "Beat-maker."David was born in 1988 (Age 20) and graduated from Johansen High School in Modesto, CA in 2006. In the Fall of 2006, he started attending Modesto Jr. College majoring in Administration of Justice. From 2002 and the present, David has been producing music. In 2005, he came up with his moniker as “Mr. Slapp” after hearing a friend say that his beats (instrumentals) “slap,” which is slang for saying the beat is very good. Soon after creating his new-found nick-name in 2005, He decided to create SLApP Entertainment, LLC. In 2006, David met up with well-known Modesto rapper, Jiggy, and the rest of his Takeover crew. Since then he has been affiliated with Takeover Music Group, LLC., which consists of Jiggy, Chepo, DJ ChopStiqs, and MasterM1nd, and has been making the best music the 209 has to show for! Since he started producing in 2002, David has worked with the likes of: Jiggy, Chepo, iLLa, Tragic, Petey Sweety (Way-2-Tuff), Etakit, NewsBreif, Johnny J, M.O.B., Black Riche$, and singers Nincina, and Arbella. He has since had spins on major radio stations as well as local radio stations, and has also been affiliated with the biggest shows (X-Fest, Fat Cat, fairs, festivals, etc.) in the Central Valley area. Over 300 shows to date!
In 2002, David “Mr. Slapp” Odisho set out the task to create and produce the most original and enjoyable music to come out of the 209 area.
Over six years of experience most definitely shows through his music. He set out to make a name for himself and that he has, as he has worked with the most notable names in the Central Valley and afar.
Today, he is considered to be one of the top Music Producers in the area, in fact, he has recently won "Best Producer" at the 3rd Annual 209 Music Awards!! Knowing that, you can be assured that he will continue to bring you the finest music the 209 has to offer.
