Raised in Broward County, Florida with a Bahamian background, Jboogie is no stranger to the music game. It all started in his 9th grade of high school where he finally saw the gift that God blessed him with. Birth name John Cunningham, he received the name Jboogie from his little brother with his brother stating and I quote ‘‘you boogie on them tracks bro’’ so he took the first letter of his real name and added it to boogie which gave him his artist name Jboogie. Only at the age of 17, word around the school he attended, was that he could rap, so he came out with his first song called ‘ ‘ Peanut Butta Gutts’’ which was played heavy by Dj Gator on the underground radio station 89.1 in Ft. Lauderdale. Still on the grind, Jboogie started to hit local open mics from Broward county to Dade county, his first open mic was at the Roman Pub hosted by Larry Dogg. Showing his talent there, Larry dogg spoke with him and a few other local artists about performing aging next week and possibly getting him some network. A couple months down the road, Jboogie bump into one of rapper pitbull’s close friend Cubo where he did some of his recording there. Cubo seen the talent that Jboogie had, and his grind coming to the studio on a regular bases; he has done songs with local rap artist like, Fame, Kornbred ( pitbulls artist) des loc from Piccalo, young Floss, and many more. having to pay for studio time out of pocket with little money, Jboogie made it happen by all means; doing networking on MySpace, he did performances at club 609 in South beach, Café 54 in Ft Lauderdale, club 84 in Ft Lauderdale, Black gold in Miami, and his most recently show at Coco’s Lounge in Miami. Getting his records played by well known local Dj’s like, Madlee ( Hollywood), Dj music (Ft. Lauderdale) Dj primetime (Miami), DJ phill (Miami), Dj ebabe (Ft Lauderdale) Dj Scar (Taranto), and Dj motecristo (ATL). Jboogie leaves his bio saying, WHEN ONE DOOR CLOSES, IT OPENS ANOTHER; I DO MUSIC BECAUSE I LOVE MAKING GOOD HIT RECORDS, I LEAVE EVERTHING IN GOD’S HAND’S FROM THIS POINT ON.
