Chaos is no stranger to starting from the bottom. The rapper, artist, hustler and one third of the group Grind Mode began his life knowing he would have obstacles to overcome. After losing his parents to drug addiction at a young age, the New York transplant was relocated to the South Dade neighborhood of Richmond Heights. He became a product of his Grandparents upbringing which provided him with a foundation to survive in the often chaotic climate of the inner city.

Being exposed to the mayhem of Miami crime, Chaos narrowly escaped incarceration and chose to instead focus his energy into creative outlets as he got older. Witty and exuberant, he found a way to channel his raw emotion through poetry- an early indication that the art of rhyme would prove to be more than just his escape from reality. Looking up to local artists such as JT Money and Trick Daddy, Chaos joined forces with neighborhood star Bishop, joining him on tour as his hype man. Learning from Bishop, he saw the potential of making more out of music than just a side hustle.

Under the guidance of mentors such as Larry Dogg(larrydoggmovement.com) and Big Teach(Pitbulls’ manager), Chaos came to the realization that he could change the cliché fate of being a victim of the street life mentality. With his knack for promotion and love for music, he began working the local circuit as a promoter for labels such as Polo Grounds Music & J Records; breaking the major hit single “A Bay Bay” by Hurricane Chris in the South Florida market. After developing a strong relationship with promoters and local radio stations such as 99 Jamz and Power 96, Chaos made the natural transition from behind the scenes to behind the mic.

Chaos broke onto the South Florida independent rap scene as a solo artist impacting local talent showcases and proving his ability to hustle smarter not harder. Locally renowned rappers Stage McKlezie (formally of the group Iconz) and Hunger approached Chaos about collaborations in the studio. The chemistry of the trio was undeniable— and they formed the group known as Grind Mode. The group first made their mark on the scene with 2007’s club and street smash She’s So Fly (I’m So High ). The track topped the charts at Power 96 (96.5 WPOW) & 99 JAMZ (99.1WEDR) two of South Florida’s premiere radio stations. Gaining national airplay and exposure, She’s So Fly (I’m So High) led to the trio inking a distribution deal with Universal Republic. The video was featured as Joint of the Day on BETs 106 & Park and has received over a million views on YouTube. The success of the single provided continued touring opportunities across the country and collaborations with artists such as Rick Ross and Trick Daddy.

Since then Chaos has performed on stage with artists such as Ludacris, Lil Jon, Ying Yang Twins, Juvenile and Jadakiss just to name a few. With countless collaborations on his resume’ some of the most rewarding come from those artist he looked up to while he was coming up- such as JT Money and Trick Daddy. His success has provided him numerous opportunities such as involvement with neighborhood foundations and charities such as the YACK homeless shelter in Miami. He has spoke at music industry conferences such as Upstart Record Pool in Jacksonville and TJsDjs Record Pool in Tallahassee sharing his experience and the nature of the grind with other upcoming independent artists.

With support from some of the most influential names in the business including Bigga Rankin, DJ GQ, DJ Killa K, DJ S1, DJ Hidro and DJ Soco- Chaos has definitely been making a lot of noise in 2009. His new single “Vibe With You” is another certified club and street smash taking over the local airways and picking up spins. His newest project is the innovative autobiographical mix tape titled “Henrietta’s Son…Tragedy to Triumph” featuring tracks such as “GOD Damn”, “U Wish That I”, “Unstoppable” and “I’m So Sorry.” The mix tape is heavily influenced by Chaos’ personal experience of learning from tragedy and celebrating through triumph. Chaos knows he has a responsibility as a voice of the people. Finding balance between social commentary and the party life, he is one of the most diverse voices to ever emerge from South Florida.
