MICKEY MOUSE CLUB Chant done A Cappella by YESTERDAY'S NEWS (U.G.H.A.) from 1979 - Video
PUBLISHED:  Jan 27, 2013
DESCRIPTION:
Formed in the Bronx, New York, USA, in 1979, a cappella group YESTERDAY'S NEWS originally comprised Tony Delvecchio (lead and first tenor), Vinnie Gallo (lead and second tenor), Charlie Valentine (baritone), Vito Ferrante (second tenor) and Dennis Elber (lead and bass). Both Valentine and Ferrante were then quickly replaced by Vic Spina and Charlie Rocco, who both sang lead. With a mutual love of 50s and 60s doo-wop and harmony, they set about rehearsing a set of period standards. Like many bands of their time devoted to an earlier pantheon of vocal groups and singers, the group found a sympathetic home at United in Group Harmony Association Records in 1979. Their debut arrived in the form of 'THE MICKEY MOUSE CHANT'... Enjoy kids!
