Travis spanks aka Tee Calee is a young up-and-coming Hip-Hop artist from Tulare, California. Although coming from an overlooked community between L.A. and the Bay Area, his music sounds nothing like the reflection of a small town mind. Contrarily, Tee Calee bridges the gap between L.A. and the Bay both geographically and musically by combining all the best from the West in his music. His playful and authentic lyrical approach in sometimes explicit, but never of violent nature; relying rather on clever word plays and punchlines to hit the listener with. This skill is complemented by melodically strong beats that feature contemporary dynamics of electronic elements as well as songs sounding reminiscent of timeless Hip-Hop classics.
Before deciding to make music professionally, Travis Anthony Spinks pursued a career in basketball. While his passion for music took over, his favorite sport has remained an avid hobby of his. But music and sports are not where this multi-skilled kid's talent ends. Tee Calee is a trendsetter in music as well as in fashion. He understands how to express his own personal style through his wardrobe, and enjoys designing some of his own t-shirts himself.
It is almost impossible to describe a versatile artist like Tee Calee in one word. But if it was necessary, it would be authenticity. Everything from his personality and his music to his style- it is always 100% to him. All it takes is a visit to his myspace page to get a pretty good feel for who he is. His skills combined with this sense of believability have opened many doors for him so far. He is already a household name in his hometown and has received major airplay on radio stations in central California. He has also performed on the same stage as such big names as Pitbull, E-40, and The Game. On his road to success, L.A. is now the next destination to be taken over by Tee Calee. However, with his still consistently growing talent, his open mind, and a strong work ethic, eventually, the sky's the limit for this young cat from Tulare.
